Hi Cyndi!
I hope you are doing well! I don't know if you have seen any of my status updates, but I wanted to tell you that LT is now a certified therapy dog! He is such a perfect little guy for therapy work. The residents and patients we visit with absolutely love him! He is one of the best things to ever come into my life and I am so grateful that we found you and your wonderful pugs!

I thought that we would stop getting comments from people when we're out once he was full-grown, but I think we get stopped more often now than when he was a puppy! Everyone is always amazed at how good looking he is! LT is the best dog and has been great therapy to me as well as many patients!

Thanks again for doing such a great job breeding!
Stephanie and LT

Hi Cyndi!
Thanks for letting us come over to see the puppies today! They are so precious!!!! It makes me want one so badly, but I don't want to train it! ;)
Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for selling LT to us. He has been our little pride and joy! I can't believe that he will be one year old tomorrow! The time has gone by so fast and he has become such a wonderful dog! Everyone compliments us when we take him out. He is such a beautiful dog and we feel very lucky to have such a great little guy! I constantly recommend potential pug owners to you because your pugs are so great looking! Hopefully we will be able to get another pug from you someday!
Thanks!

Dear Cindi,

It has been about eight months since we took home our puppy, Rascal... AKA" Buddy". if you recall he was from Harry and Diamond, the largest of the litter. I just wanted you to know that he is doing just fine. He is so lovable, was easily housebroken, loves to play and has a great face. All my pugs eat Nutro, "natural choice " lamb and rice formula with the small bites. Once a day they will get one teaspoon of "the Missing Link". There coat is so luxurious while, they don't have any Oder. I also sent you a few pictures of our latest pug, Rascal.

Hi Cyndi:
I just wanted to give you an update on the puppy Adam and I got from your fabulous breed of Diamond and Sir Harry! We named him "Johnny Rambo"-aka Rambo. He is simply wonderful....easily housebroken, so smart and has such a loving and fun personality. People stop me all the time and tell me that they have never seen such a handsome pug and that I should consider putting him into modeling! He loves to go for car rides, and play with his endless amounts of toys. He has been such a great companion to me while Adam has been overseas-we go everywhere together. His coat has remained so soft, and with the exception of very scary reaction to his rabies vaccination, is in perfect health! I love him so much and will definitely be coming to you in the future to get him a friend. Thank you for bringing such joy into my house! I have attached the latest picture of him for you to see-I can't believe he's almost a year! time flies by so fast!
Sincerely,
Sara

Cyndi takes such excellent care of our dogs that I never have to worry about them at all when we're away on vacation. She gives them lots of love and attention, and takes care of any special needs they might have. I recommend her boarding services without hesitation!

I have been meaning to write you and time has gotten away! I will send more pics of course! He is still the best dog ever!!
His rabies reactions were not as immediate. He was fine for about an hour after the shot-a little groggy but overall ok So I went to work and when I got home that evening, his eyes were bloodshot and he didn't seem like he felt well. My roomate had said he threw up earlier. He didn't seem interested in eating either. After a little cuddle time and petting, he seemed like himself-ate his dinner and was playing. That night I put him in his crate like normal and went to bed. At three in the morning he was howling in his crate, so I thought he needed to go outside. I let him out, we went outside and he didn't go the bathroom. We came back inside and I let him get in bed with me-he started rolling around like crazy like he was trying to furiously scratch himself. He shot to the end of the bed so I let him back outside at which point he peed on the deck instead of the grass, then came inside and started throwing up. He had a grey look to him, he was so swollen and it looked as if bumps had raised over his entire body. thats when i got scared and went to the emergency room. they put him on benydryl drip and kept him for 12 hours.

Hi Cyndi:

Of course he was lathargic for a couple days, but now he his fine!
I did read that you are possibly breading a for a black litter for June. Adam and I would love to get on the reservation list for that if you are!
thanks

Hello Cyn, So sorry to hear about your mother. My thoughts are with you! Good to hear that you didn't have to evacuate. I have been reading about the fire's there in Ca and I couldn't imagine what those people are going threw.
I sent out the contract for baby. She is doing great and we love her so much. Last night I feel asleep with her on the couch watching T.V. Woke up at like 2am and she was still there sleeping on my lap. She is such a good girl. Goes out and poops when I tell her and is so into what I'm asking her to do. I have been working with her daily on standing. She loves the chicken part of the training! I plan on taking her to handling classes next week and it looks like she is old enough to enter in shows now. I'm so amazed at how small and compact she is. A real winner! :-)
I will keep you posted.
Again very sorry about your mum.
Sincerely Kathie

Pixie Pete's Story
Sheba and the only Twister litter I had.
I will never forget this little pup, he only survived because he was a Twister pup! We sure miss Twister.

Pixie Pete, 7 weeks
shebasmpuphand.jpg

This is Pixie Pete's Struggle for life and a Happy Ending,
 a beginning.
He was born to Sheba and Twister on a very hot July afternoon, a normal delivery and was simular in size and strength to his 2 siblings.
At day 5, he began with diarrhea.  I had never had a pup that young with diarrhea and dehydyation.  The vet didn't give much hope, but he had fluid injected under the skin, a cortisone shot to relax the inflammation of his intestines and put on Albon for 7 days.
He was only 12 oz. and then went down to 10. Not that good.
I decided to suppliment his milk because he was not strong enough yet to suckle even for a few minutes.  His diarrhea stopped in 2 days thank god. When I knew he would make it, I named him Pixie always looking like a female, but she was a he,So it was Pixie Pete.  Around 2 weeks old, Pixie Pete then got  pneumonia possilby aspirating some milk.  So then it was Augmentin and he hated it! He then started his personality.
But, again he began gaining weight and gone from 10 oz  to 1 lb 1 oz at 3 weeks old.
Slowly Pixie Pete grew strong and let his siblings hang out on top of him!  When he was getting beat up, he yelled for me to pick him up!  I carried him around in the kitchen and he learned how to make coffee with me, eat cereal out of mommies bowl, and now watched as I warmed up his own food. I began with rice cereal and oatmeal, then added softened Canidae with goats milk.
He loved life now and gained to 2lb 2oz by 7 weeks old. His siblings were now 4 pounds!
He was the cutiest little guy, not quite looking like a pug, but I knew it wouldn't be long he would be a little miniture baby puggie.
I could hold him like a baby, coddle him watching TV and he soon loved to sit on my neck  sitting with Stucky and me making this little noise in his throat that I will NEVER forget. I let him kiss me all over, who cares!
His 3 vet checks went very well, having 2 testicles already, clear lungs and a nice strong heart.
His little face, looking just like his daddys, Twister, was the cutiest and the most unique looking, he melted me.  I began to worry what kind of new home would take the time with this little guy.
But then A very nice lady named Patti from Arizona began emailing me and then called, letting me know that her father had just passed away, and she had to go out of state and clear out his home.  She said she needed Pixie Pete. She really did.  I still wasn't sure he would be normal, but by the time Patti was ready to come home to Arizona, Pixie Pete was ready to leave his mommy. She flew into John Wayne almost 2 weeks ago now, and they fell in love in the airport, then flying away back to Arizona to live. I cryed as I drove off, not letting my husband see, but I just knew he would have a very special home with Patti and her pugs. God I miss his snuggle and humm he always gave me.
Thank you Patti

Here are some of her emails.
Hi Cyndi,

I could tell it was hard for you to part with him and I had tears in my
eyes for you.  My trip to WI was so emotionally draining as I had to
clear out my father's house and to say it was sad and difficult is an
understatement.  To have been able to get Pixie Pete on the way home
meant so very much to me.  I have been looking for the "right pug" for
almost a year and when I stumbled upon your web site and you wrote about a little guy then had those cute pictures I had to see him. The pictures did not do him justice as truly he is beyond cute.  Even though small, he is one absolutely sharp looking pug.
I feel truly blessed to own him.  He has proven to be an absolute delight and how many puppies get in a new home and know to do their business outside?  I have only had him a little over a week and he just fit in like a glove.
He is a peach and indeed truly loved.  My boyfriend is over this evening and is carrying Pixie Pete around like a newborn.  Pixie Pete may not be in California any longer, but he is living like a "STAR"!!!!

rotten, but I would not have it any other way. I did get the Canidae
dry and 3 cans of the chicken and rice(there were coupons in the Canidae
packet you gave me so I got all free at a feed store not far from me).
He eats really well...had his fried egg this morning. He scratches on
my arcadia door when he wants to go out-can you believe it? He sleeps
next to me in bed and when we awake in the morning, I take him in the
back yard and he he does his business. He is a little blessing. The name
Pixie Pete fits and I am not changing it.

Cyndi,
I brought Pixie Pete to Lowe's with me and clerks and customers
were gathering around to get a glimpse of Pixie Pete. Everyone loves Pixie Pete. Today, I brought him to a friend's home that has floor length
mirrors and Pixie Pete thought there were two Pixie Pete's...he was
looking and backing away and looking with the corner of his eye-oh so cute.Tomorrow, my boyfirend's mom wants to meet Pixie Pete. Pixie Pete has become quite the socialite. He has character and attitude and will melt anyone's heart. He is almost 100% potty trained. His intelligence for
such a young dog is unbelievable...really that little mind of his is
always going and he manages to do the funniest things.
> > It is cute as my boyfriend loves dogs, especially all of mine...but
Pixie Pete has really stolen his heart...we kid around that
"everything is now about Pixie Pete". His little size and big attitude are
captivating.
As you can tell, I love Pixie Pete. It was a match made in heaven.
He and my older male have really bonded-they play together in the yard.
Sometimes my younger male also will play with him. They are not sure
what to make of this little creature. My female is always cautiously
optimistic and waits until she is good and ready to bond and Pixie Pete
picked up on that and just ignores her as well.
 Blessings,
 Patti

Hi,
Yes, I am in love...smitten for Pixie Pete.  He really has been an
extraordinary puppy.  Perhaps it is because I have the other dogs, but he
just caught on to everything so quickly especially the doggie door-even
before he could use it he would wait at the arcadia doors for me to
open them so he could go in the backyard.  He has not ruined anything
either.  It has not even been like having a puppy around.  He seems to
understand everything; it's uncanny.

I really like the look of Thad and Dottie.  Thad is really doing well.
I love the pug jacket you have on in that picture on your site.  How
exciting to be having some puppies in February...I am elated to have
gotten one of yours.  He is so exceptional.  God really blessed me with
Pixie Pete at what was and in many respects still is a horrible time in
my life.  Losing my dad was very devastating.

You had a heart and you
understood and I appreciated that so much-truly.  Amidst devastating grief Pixie Pete has brought joy to my life and I know he feels very loved as he adores me. He is my little shadow.  Who knows maybe a dog show or something will bring you this way one day and you can see what a peach this little guy is.

Hi Cyndi,
I got my Pug Talk yesterday, saw Thad's picture in there.  Now you
should really be getting calls.  Your pugs are top notch.  Pixie Pete has a
very outstanding look now and remember I told you his one ear was not
sitting right.  I believe that with teething that occurred and that has
now corrected.  He has a very stunning look and seems to grow more
beautiful by the day.  He is definitely establishing his pecking order and
will sometimes go after Toby for food, not to hurt him though he just
seems to go through what looks like he is going to bite.  I have had to
yell at him though so he does not get aggressive.  Carl said just
because he is cute doesn't mean you can let him get away with everything
which is true.  I will have to send some pictures soon.  He is so smart.
I would surely recommend your pugs to anyone.  I would definitely get
another from you.  You did a great job with Pixie Pete.

Thad has a really unique look and if he keeps at it he will probably be
invited to Westminster too.

Have a great day,
Patti

Subject: You won't believe what Pixie Pete did!

Hi,
I am really thankful that just last week I got Pixie Pete's rabies shot.  Today, I was in the kitchen and he always plays with his toys and is near me.  I looked down and Pixie Pete had a real dead pigeon-sissy me screamed and ran and called Pixie Pete away from it.  Somehow, he found a dead pigeon in my yard and brought it in through the doggy door-how I do not know as the doggie door is not very big and the pigeon was almost the size of Pixie Pete.  My other dogs were not the least bit interested so I know it was him who got it in and he was pulling at it like a stuffed animals.  Ugh, I took a Huggies wipe and wiped his face.  I got all the dogs outside closed off the doggy door and ugh had to take the lid of a box and slide this dead pigeon into another box ugh-it's skin had not been penetrated so Pixie Pete did not break the skin but I know they have germs.  Of course Pixie Pete had no idea what he'd gotten he just thought he found himself a new toy!  Yikes!!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I can get out of work in time, my vet is having free pictures with Santa so I will have another one coming close to Christmas.

Pixie Pete still makes that cute little purr noise sometimes.  He is such an affectionate little guy...always there with a kiss.  He antogonizes my other dogs, all of whom are larger than him of course, endlessly.  They seem to thrive on it now.  He blended in so well with my other dogs.  They will run around here at what seems to be 100 mph chasing each other etc.  Dr. Phil always says to get excited about your life....well Pixie Pete gives that saying a whole new meaning.  He is such a spunky guy.  I think once he gets a tad bigger his other testicle will be there.  Your vet and my regular vet found two and the vet last week only felt one.  In view of almost losing Toby during neutering, I am a little gun shy about getting Pixie Pete neutered.  My female is fixed and I don't let any of my dogs out of my yard or site, so I may not get him altered.
Have a great week,
Patti

>   Pixie Pete is into untying shoes, pulling on pants legs and pulling
toilet paper from the roll.  No grass grows under that dog's feet, he
is active as can be and has a true zest for life.  He is still a squirt
weighing in at 10 pounds, but I think he was only 3 pounds when I got
him so he is developing nicely. He has a handsome face and is just
being a little dickens!   He steals everyone's heart wherever he goes with
his endearing character.

Wow 8th is great.  Harry is a good looking pug...I like Thad's look
too.  You know how you love all of your dogs a lot, but every now and then
you come across one that is extraordinary....Pixie Pete is that one in
a million-truly I was blessed to get that boy.  He has such a zest for
life-just a little charmer loves everyone and everything.  He and one
of my pug boys are really close.  When we brought Pixie Pete to
Petsmart, he still fit in that little carrier I had at the John Wayne airport
so he has not gotten too much bigger.  He is just so darling-enough of
my bragging!

Have a good night,
Patti

That Disco Diva Star has such a black forehead-very stunning.  That is a cute picture of you and your pugs in the home section.  I am surprised everyone wants females.  I have heard that male pugs have the best personalities or is that a generalization?  I have never owned a female pug...I have my pug a poo and she is sweet.  Pixie Pete gets along well with all the dogs, but seems to like Toby (the last pug I bought from Judy Ybarra) the best.  Ironically, Toby is the one he goes after when I put everyone's food down-he growls and tries to nip at Toby to steal his food before he even eats his own.  Now I sit on the floor and supervise so it does not happen.

It won't be long before it is too hot to walk the dogs here unless before 6 am.  I feel sorry for Truman as he must have been very devastated since he worked so much with Twister.  Very sad.  They are family and it is difficult when we lose them.
